Richard Mann

RichardMann

Richard Alan Mann, 73, of Disputanta, passed away on Jan. 2, 2012.

He was the son of the late Harold B. and Winifred Stevenson Mann. Richard was a United States Army veteran. Mr. Mann was a member of Gregory Presbyterian Church, a member of the family selection committee for the Habitat for Humanity of Petersburg, and an active member of the Virginia Roadrunners. He also served as an officer of the State Grange of Connecticut, and a member of the Beach Community Grange of Chesterfield.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joan E. Mann; four children, Lisa E. Mann, Sandra J. Costello and husband, John T., Jennifer L. Mann and David L. Mann; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Kay McConaghy

McCONAGHY, Kay Bahen, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011. She was the widow of Hugh A. McConaghy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel and William F. Bahen; her sister, Joyce B. Ball; and brother-in-law, Leonard Vernon Ball. Kay was a former FBI employee, Girl Scout leader, member of the Ginter Park Woman's and Garden clubs, Richmond Horticultural Society and an active member of the Virginia Roadrunners, Good Sams. She attended Ginter Park United Methodist Church and was a member of The Betty Fairbanks and Elsie Finney Circles. She was a former first female president of the Ushers Association. She is survived by a son, Jeff A. McConaghy (Barbara); a daughter Ruth Ann McConaghy; granddaughter; Taylor Alexandra McConaghy; two nephews, Dr. L.V. Ball "Chic" (Phylliss), of Winterville, Ga., and Dr. W. F. Ball, "Chuck" (Tracy); and their children, of Roanoke, Va.

LAMPIE, Daisy L., 79, of Quinton, passed away, Sunday, January 30, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris C. and Carrie L. Edwards; sister, Lillie May Mitchell; and sons, Ronnie, Raymond and Gary Edwards. Daisy is survived by her loving and devoted husband of over 50 years, Robert "Bubba" Lampie; sister, Ruby Mitchell; brothers, Percy C. Edwards, Ernest C. Edwards; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the hospice nurses at Hanover Memorial Regional Health Care Center. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church and a member of the Virginia Roadrunners Chapter of the GoodSam Club.
